My friends know that I am the last person to come to for facial advice. This is why I surprised myself after adapting a recipe by Mountain Rose Botanicals to treat a patient’s face rash and it turned out fabulous. Afterwards, I experimented on myself and a medical student and it was a riot as we sat with joy in my waiting room breathing in the aroma coming from our faces! This fabulous application is ready to be shared! Thanks must be given to my many herbal mentors and Ayurvedic doctors for knowledge of the herbs and safety of application. Pranic Healing is to to be thanked for the knowledge of energetic principles and properties.
If you like face masks, facials, are looking for some after-sun care or simply a self-spa day you could find this application cooling, cleansing, nurturing, refreshing, and up-lifting. The herbal properties contain anti-microbial, anti-oxidant, and anti-inflammatory benefits.
Some insight to the formula. Living in a dry climate, I added infused oil to the recipe to help moisturize. The other liquids used to form the paste are water mixtures called a hydrosols and are created by distilling herbs. Using a hydrosol over an essential oil allows you to get the concentrated aromatic benefit without extreme concentration potentially leading to skin irritation.
You can find the mask in our waiting room or our online store. If you’d like more specific recommendations regarding use lets talk about it at your next appointment!
